How To Adventure Like Indiana Jones
"Snakes? Why did it have to be snakes?"
Good morning.
The latest film in the Indiana Jones saga hit box offices this past weekend.
Did it get rave reviews? Well, no.
Did it break box office records? Er. Also, no.
Did it have the iconic hat and theme song? You bet it did.
And that, friends, is enough to get our spirit of adventure moving.
(Editor’s note: Raiders remains an all-time action film classic no matter how many more prequel/spin-offs/etc they make.)
Whether or not you’re an Indy fan, you have to admit that the wry-smiling, whip-cracking, relic-chasing archeology professor sure knows how to adventure.
In this edition, we’ll figure out to dress like a swashbuckling adventurer, discover some amazing trails from the films and learn what to do to avoid Indiana Jones’ least favorite animal.

Back with the fifth and final film in the series, Indiana Jones and The Dial of Destiny, fans have a new journey to lost cities and foreign places. Some of those places you can explore for yourself.

This Real-Life Indiana Jones Quest Will Attempt to Measure the Amazon River
For decades, experts and explorers have disagreed on which river is the longest in the world. The two candidates are the Nile and the Amazon. To finally settle the debate, a bold expedition to measure the Amazon has been planned for 2024.
Only about 10 people are known to have traveled the full length of the Amazon—a great feat for real-life explorers who idolize fictional characters like Indiana Jones.
Here’s What To Do If It Has To Be Snakes
One of the classic lines from Raiders of the Lost Ark arrives as Indiana Jones comes across a pit filled with his biggest phobia.
"Snakes?,” he asks. “Why did it have to be snakes?"
“Asps,” replies his companion, Sallah. “Very dangerous. You go first.”
