How to Do Bear Grylls’ Wilderness Workout

In “Bear Grylls’ Full-Body Wilderness Workout You Can Do Anywhere,” Grylls lays out a plan for a 30-minute workout that does not require equipment. You can simply use your natural surroundings, like a tree and a rock or other heavy but portable object.

The workout is broken down into four five-minute blocks. Between each block is a 90-second rest. That comes out to 28 minutes, so Grylls recommends a minute warm-up and a minute cool-down to round out your 30-minute sweat session.

Expert Tips for Ice Fishing Beginners

Camaraderie, light tackle, and catching huge fish on a small line—there is so much to be said about ice fishing. While it isn’t as popular as fishing in the warmer months, the ice fishing community is a welcoming one. Ice fishing alone has some positive merits from the serenity to the unique challenges to conquer.

Here are some tips for those first times out on the ice.

Gulf Islands National Seashore: More Popular Than the Grand Canyon

Once the whimsicalness of the holidays passes and we’re left with just winter, many people turn their sights to warmer climates. While it’s still winter along the Gulf Coast, you can expect some warmer temperatures soon at Gulf Islands National Seashore. The popular destination includes islands in Florida and Mississippi and is an excellent getaway for most of the year.

Here are some facts about this National Park Service site to help you plan your visit.
