Man Body Slams Orca!

A New Zealand man leapt from a boat earlier this year and nearly “body slammed” an orca. The 50-year-old man did this on purpose, and his friends filmed him. Someone posted the video to Instagram. Months later, the New Zealand Department of Conservation (DOC) discovered the video and fined the man $600.
“This one left me speechless,” says photographer Mark Smith about an absolutely incredible slow-motion video he captured of a bald eagle on the hunt. Smith posted the video on Instagram yesterday, and it already has over 1 million likes.

Scientists have known about this site, where they documented more than 6,000 octopuses living in a relatively small section of the vast “garden,” since 2018. The Rescue Center Costa Rica is a wildlife rehabilitation organization based in Alajuela, Costa Rica. A recent post from wildlife vet Giovana Miranda and the Rescue Center shows a baby anteater suckling from a bottle. Miranda captions the video: “Cutest thing you’ll see today – an anteater getting fed during my time working at the @rescuecentercr 🐜”
