Real Life Jungle Cruise!

Plus: Lion Sneaks Up On Safari Group

Good Morning šŸƒ This weekā€™s stories are full of adventure and wonder. Try a real-life Amazon jungle cruise for incredible wildlife sightings. On a safari, a lion sneaks up on a group, creating a heart-stopping moment. Mysterious twinkling lights illuminate Yosemite's El Capitan. In Britain, a fox cub gets hilariously stuck in a garden sink's plughole. Good news: the Iberian lynx is no longer endangered thanks to conservation efforts. Dive into these exciting tales!

I stood on the top deck of the JacarĆ©-AƧu, a charming river boat, as we sailed along the Rio Negro, one of largest tributaries of the Amazon River, and everything was perfect. The blackwater river was like glass, tropical birds sailed overhead, and the occasional monkey in the treetops had me and my companions in a tizzy trying to spot them through our binoculars.

As something on one side of a safari vehicle held touristsā€™ rapt attention, a lion snuck behind the parked vehicle. It came face-to-face with a safari guide, who locked eyes with the huge cat. A photographer facing the vehicle caught the whole thing on film.

Yosemite National Park is a magical placeā€”most everyone who has been there would agree. But just how magical are we talking? A photo shared by the National Park Service (NPS) earlier this month shows a series of lights illuminating El Capitan, a vertical rock formation in Yosemite.

A curious fox cub found a hole while exploring a British garden and somehow managed to stick its head through it. Imagine the homeownersā€™ surprise when they came out to their garden and found a trapped fox with its head through the plughole of their sink.

Thereā€™s good news this week from the IUCN (International Union for Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources). The Iberian lynx (Lynx pardinus) is no longer an endangered species, thanks to years of conservation efforts.
